A designer at heart.

Create the remarkable. Build the future.

Design. Discover. Lead.

I am becoming an industry-leading UX / UI designer and I believe that design will shape the future. Life long discovery is my passion and I am a leader and project manager with experience leading projects across teams with a diverse set of team members. I am a Figma nerd and visual design magician. I believe that true talent and leadership are shown and I strive to craft the remarkable through a pattern of excellence.

Brand Icon

I grew up in Seattle and love the rain. Nature, botanicals and the mountains are a vital part of my soul and I strive to bring organic approaches into my designs every day. My main passions are visual storytelling, design system architecture, human-centered and organic design, and creating user experiences that shape reality and make it beautiful.

Shaped by Nature

Organic Process + Authentic Design

I am the proud grandson of a Game Warden and a Farmer. I love nature and the earth. I believe that organic interactions evolve and that technology does too. I am passionate about tech, the planet, and design. They come together to shape our reality and I am grateful that I get the opportunity to create it.

A Matter of Heart

Why I became a designer.

On Beacon Hill in South Seattle, my life was changed by human-centered engineering. Before Pacific Tower was a business center and college it was Pacific Medical Center (PMC) and I was a 3-year-old boy with Amblyopia. I couldn’t see out of my left eye, I suffered from migraines, and was struggling to learn and focus. I went into PMC and underwent Strabismus surgery. My earliest memory is being wheeled down those dark corridors frightened and alone. I came out of that surgery with a new challenge ahead that would require patience, resilience, and compassion. Even after surgery, my left eye vision was drastically impaired and the continued treatment was carried out by covering the eye that I could see with.

Being a young boy I remember the tears that came as contacts with huge black dots and patches on my glasses were installed as I volunteered for blindness every day for years and years. I remember going to elementary school and having to be singled out by the teacher as the one who could not read, and the one who stood out. It was hard to relate and I struggled to read, but I loved to learn and listen. I fell in love with stories, music, and color because when your eyes cannot focus sometimes all you have is abstract color and sound. I worked for over a decade and eventually, my eyes matured and my vision was solidified at where it is today; with my left eye still not being able to fully focus all the way, but at least being able to see details and shapes.

That experience continues to shape my life every day. It gives me a perspective and understanding of the role of empathy and inclusion in design and technology. It also drives my fascination surrounding the impact of visual aesthetics throughout products and design as well as shapes my passion surrounding inclusion and accessibility.
